Gary has been solving consumer and brand puzzles all his professional life – since his beginnings as an award-winning TV reporter, through his branding, content and advertising work.
Gary served as SVP for Global Creative Strategy at Viacom’s Nickelodeon. He launched and revived top franchises including SpongeBob, Dora, iCarly, Avatar, and Nick Jr. through multi platform strategies inclusive of retail. During this time Nickelodeon saw an increase in +30% in revenues related to this franchise. SpongeBob regained the number one spot through a gaming centric strategy.
He joined IPG’s McCann Worldgroup in 2010 to focus on content strategy and packaged goods brands, including Nestle. In 2012, he became Nestle’s global strategy director responsible for Nesquik, Coffee Mate, Nespresso, digital velocity, as well as strategic initiatives around premium and kids brands.
In 2013 Gary joined the UM International team as Chief strategy Officer for the G14 markets, focusing on strategy for regional and global clients with emphasis on content development.
