At IPG Mediabrands, we believe that businesses today cannot thrive without data. Russell’s role as Chief Data Officer for IPG Mediabrands is to help our networks and clients harness the power of data through furthering cutting-edge investments in analytics, business intelligence, client campaign management and cross-screen insights on a global scale.
In this role, Russell works closely with IPG Mediabrands’ global media agency networks – UM, Initiative, and BPN, as well as digital services specialist Mediabrands Audience Platform (MAP) and strategic investment division MAGNA GLOBAL, applying data to drive more efficient media investment decisions.
Before joining IPG Mediabrands, Russell served as the Group Strategy Director of Rapp UK and Head of Mobile for Rapp globally where he drove product development and mobile innovation across the US and Europe. Prior to Rapp, Russell held senior creative positions at Agency.com, Fullsix, Sapient and 3T Productions.
Throughout his career, Russell has handled account, product and innovation responsibilities for several marquee global brands, including Bacardi, BMW, British Airways, Ikea, Novartis, P&G, Skype, and Akzo Nobel.
